With the weather cooperating a little more this week, Brian was able to take a seat at his normal post atop the Orioles dugout for his video blog, and he was joined by reliever Jason Berken.

Brian asked his teammate how he went about losing weight this offseason in an effort to get healthier, and talked with Berken about his passion for his hometown football team – the Green Bay Packers. Sticking on the football topic, Jason also announced that he had a special announcement for Brian and all Packers fans in the Baltimore area.

Brian made sure to thank those who contributed to the charity Easter egg hunt with the University of Maryland Children’s Hospital, and made time to answer a few fan questions on a wide range of topics, from what his favorite restaurant is in Baltimore, to where he gets his specially-designed shoes, to why more players don’t remain in one city for their full career.

Fresh off a sweep of the defending AL East champion Tampa Bay Rays, Brian talked about the momentum that the O’s have been able to carry over from a strong finish to 2010, the strength of their lineup from 1-9 in the order, and the quality of the starting pitching to begin the season.

Back after an extended injury-induced break from his video blog, Brian Roberts settled into his old seat on the top of the dugout to check in with O’s fans once again.

“You really get a grasp of what you love about the game and what you miss when it gets taken away,” B-Rob admitted as he touched on his injuries this season and his journey back to baseball in Baltimore.
